The National Weather Service forecast for our area is calling for a 100 percent chance of snow tonight and a 60 percent chance of snow Wednesday.

When it’s all over, we could receive as much as 3 more inches of white stuff to partially replace what melted during Monday’s flirtation with spring temperatures. The hourly weather graph suggests rain should start falling around 11 a.m. and begin changing over to snow around 7 p.m.

Temps should get cold again tomorrow too, with a high of 19 and a low of 2. But after that, the forecast is looking more seasonable, with highs in the 30s and 40s through Sunday.

100 percent chance of snow tonight and a 60 percent chance of snow tonight. >>> What is it, 100% or 60%? 60% applies to the afternoon.

    1. Sloppy editing on my part! 60 percent is for Wednesday. — Which as of 12:17 p.m. is now 70 percent.

    Hey Darren:
Let’s not hold our breath yet. One of snow forecast models at CH-5 Chicago
(http://www.nbcchicago.com/weather/)is calling for up to 10″ of snow in Waukegan and 8″ around here. View the “Video Forecast” for this greater snow amount model. I haven’t heard this from any of the forecasters this side of the state line.

    1. Hmmmm. The National Weather Service forecast for Waukegan says 2 to 4 inches with Antioch 1 to 3 inches, kind of like us. Personally I hope the NWS is the one that is correct!
