Sheriff’s Department intensifying traffic enforcement March 4-20

kcsd-doorThe Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department will be stepping up traffic safety enforcement, says a statement released today:

To combat drunken driving and increase safety belt use, The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department has intensified its traffic safety enforcement from March 4th March 20th , which includes the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The increased enforcement is part of a $6000 grant that The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau of Transportation Safety. This will allow KSD to put approximately 32 hours of extra enforcement into place during this time period. Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth says, “Traffic violations are among the chief complaints we get at the Sheriff’s Department. Traffic deaths are some of the most shocking for a family to endure. The goal of this enforcement is to get drivers to comply with the rules of the road and increase safety in Kenosha County. St. Patrick’s Day is a fun way to celebrate with friends and family, but party goers must do so responsibly”, Sheriff Beth said.
