A utility work struck by a car Tuesday in Salem is in good condition, Sgt. Bill Beth, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, said Wednesday.
The man, who was working as a flagger, was identified by Beth as James Harmon, 46, of Carpentersville, Illinois.
The driver of the car was identified by Beth as Mary Meyers-Nelson, 73, of Silver Lake. She was cited for inattentive driving.
Harmon was part of a crew that was working on the cable/phone lines on the utility poles just south of Highway 50 along Highway B in Salem.
Harmon was transported by Flight for Life medical helicopter to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Meyers-Nelson cooperated fully with deputies and no impairment on her part is suspected, Beth said.
