Units responding for chimney fire in Salem

At about 5 p.m., Town of Salem Fire/Rescue and Bristol Fire and Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a possible chimney fire in the 24700  of 84th Street in Salem.

UPDATE 5:07 p.m. — Salem FD chief on scene reports that structure is a two-story single family home with nothing from the outside. He will advise if Bristol FD units need to continue to respond.

UPDATE 5:08 p.m. — Salem chief says Salem units still responding may do so non-emergency and Bristol units can stand down and return to quarters.

UPDATE 5:21 p.m. — Command terminated. All units returning to quarters.
