Randall School students chosen as peace mentors

randall-school-name-bus-webFour students were chosen to represent Randall School as Peace Mentors at a Recognition Ceremony and Luncheon at Gateway Technical College on Jan. 20. The four students are 5th grade students: Trevor Spencer and Abigail Strother; and 8th grade students: Kordan Kopp and Dayne Schleusner.

Every year Gateway Technical College seeks nominations for Peace Mentors from each school in Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties. Each school is allowed to have 2 students from each level represent them at a Recognition Ceremony and Luncheon held at Madrigrano Auditorium on the Kenosha campus. Student Peace Mentors and their parents are invited to attend the ceremony. In order to be chosen for this honor the students must be: a positive role model, helpful in creating a peaceful classroom, caring and kind, able to resolve conflicts without violence, practice inclusion despite differences, able to make the right choices even when no one is watching, and able to work together with others as a team.
