Curt Nikula appointed to Paris School Board

paris-signCROP-woCurt Nikula has been appointed to fill a vacant seat on the Paris School Board.

Nikula also is running to fill the same seat in the April election.

The Paris Jt. 1 Board of Education held a special meeting (Tuesday) at 6 pm for the purpose of interviewing interested candidates to fill the vacancy created by the December 19, 2013 resignation of Michael Cavalenes. The position runs through the fourth Monday in April. Three candidates provided letters of interest and were interviewed for the position. Candidates interviewed were Curt Nikula, Kristine Kordecki, and Dustin Beth. Following the interviews, the Board appointed Nikula to the Board of Education. Nikula has submitted candidacy papers and is running unopposed on the ballot in the April election for the full three year term.
