AT&T Wisconsin has announced a $2,250 donation to The Sharing Center to support its food pantry and community emergency resource program.
The Sharing Center provides a helping hand to those living in Western Kenosha County by providing food, household items and education in an environment of respect and dignity.
“Our mission is to help the underserved in our community by not only providing an emergency food pantry, but also helping meet other critical needs like clothing, household items, access to mental health and assault counseling, education, and employment resources,” said Sharon Pomaville, Executive Director of The Sharing Center.“With the generous support of the community and companies like AT&T, we can continue to meet the ever changing and growing needs in our communities.”
The AT&T donation will help keep the shelves stocked in The Sharing Center’s food pantry and support its emergency resource program. Other resources provided to needy families include clothing, household items, winter outerwear, hygiene supplies, school supplies, employment resources, healthy snacks for elementary school children, and holiday support like Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets.
“It is great to see companies like AT&T stepping forward to support The Sharing Center’s efforts to help needy families in our community,” said State Rep. Samantha Kerkman (R-Powers Lake).“This contribution will go a long way toward helping The Sharing Center provide emergency food, supplies and resources to those who need a helping hand.”
The AT&T Wisconsin Innovation & Investment Award program provides funding to local organizations that enhance and give back to their communities. The program is focused on awarding grants to organizations and programs that improve the community by advancing education, enhancing the environment, promoting economic development, or delivering other community services.
