Units responding to crash at I-94 and West Frontage Road

At about 1:45 p.m., sheriff’s deputies and Kenosha Fire Department units responded to multiple reports of a crash near I-94 and Highway 50.

Responding deputies located the crash scene near the I-94 southbound Highway 50 exit ramp and 71st Street in Kenosha.

Units at the scene reported a large amount of debris. Only one vehicle appeared to be involved.

Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue also responded as mutual aid.

All roads approaching the scene  have been blocked, including on and off ramps to I-94 at Highway 50.

Kenosha FD command has requested a street sweeper be sent to the scene. Traffic standard damaged.

UPDATE 2:29 p.m. — Kenosha FD units are clearing the scene and returning to quarters. Sheriff’s deputies remain on the scene. Commenter Bruce Francart on the West of the I Facebook page reports “can’t get under and can’t get off of 94 at 50. … Can’t get from east to west of 94 at 50 or by the new under pass to the north.” Medical examiner responded to the scene.
