The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 7 a.m. Tuesday to midnight Wednesday for an expected period of snow and blowing snow.
The local NWS forecast says snow could start after 5 a.m. Tuesday, but is more likely by 8 a.m. The chance of snow is placed at 90 percent tomorrow with 1 to 3 inches accumulation. The snow situation will be aggravated by wind — 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon with gusts as high as 25 mph — which could reduce visibility.
Wednesday will be cold again, with a high of 18. But that will be followed by a warmer Thursday with a high of 33 before a dip back into the teens for highs on Friday and Saturday.
