The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the area in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday. The concern is strong winds causing significant blowing and drifting of the considerable amount of snow that is already on the ground. Visibility will be limited during period of blowing snow.
Next up after that will be a wind chill advisory in effect from midnight Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday. That will be followed by a wind chill warning that will be in effect from 6 p.m. Sunday until noon Tuesday.
