Rep. Kerkman adds legislative assistant

State Rep. Samantha Kerkman (R-Randall) has a new addition to her staff in the Madison office. Nicole Walentowski has recently been hired on as Rep. Kerkman’s Legislative Assistant.

Nicole was born and raised in northern Wisconsin and grew up enjoying the many recreational, educational, and community activities Wisconsin has to offer. Upon completing high school, Nicole attended UW-Oshkosh and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice. While at UW- Oshkosh, Nicole was actively involved in student organizations and campus outreach. After graduating from UW-O in 2012, Nicole spent one year working with at-risk students in a public school and volunteering in community organizations such as Care and Share. Nicole has since moved to Madison to take on her new position as the Legislative Assistant for Rep. Kerkman. Nicole will be joining Research Assistant Tami Rongstad. Duties of the Research Assistant include staffing the Joint Audit Committee, constituent casework, and media relations. Duties of the Legislative Assistant include constituent casework and outreach.

As the Legislative Assistant, Nicole will be focusing her efforts on supporting Rep. Kerkman in serving both the 61st Assembly District and the state of Wisconsin.
