We here at westofthei.com headquarters in Paddock Lake measured 4.5 inches of snow on the ground from about 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
That’s quite a bit more than the 2 or so inches forecast.
The snow is supposed to taper off any time now. (Let’s hope so. I’ve got enough to shovel out there already at 5 a.m.) Tomorrow morning, the hazard will be blowing snow. As winds will be westerly, the worst drifting should be on north-south roads. A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m.
For the balance of the week, there is a 30 percent chance of more snow Tuesday night and Wednesday with high temperatures in the 20s.
