Family, friends, fellow firefighters say good-bye to Thomas Brown, Randall FD

A funeral with fire department honors was held today for Thomas Brown, Battalion Chief, Randall Fire Department.

Brown died Oct. 21 after about a month-long illness. He was 59.

Brown joined the Randall Fire Department in 1985 and was the battalion chief for station Number 1 in Powers Lake at the time of his death. Brown also was a member of the Walworth County Firefighters Association.

Fire departments with representatives at today’s service include: Wheatland, Twin Lakes, Salem, Spring Grove, Richmond, Lake Geneva, Lyons, Kenosha, Racine and Lincolnshire-Riverwoods. A Sturtevant police officer also was present. Twin Lakes Police and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department assisted with traffic.

Deputy Chief Bill Beetschen  of Winthrop Harbor helped organize the funeral and the service.
