UPDATE: Home heavily damaged in Bristol fire

bristol-fd-flag-logo-webA fire that started in an exterior wall heavily damaged a Bristol home in the 8300 block of 184th Avenue (Highway D) last night.

From Bristol Fire and Rescue Chief Peter Parker: The fire was reported at 10:49 p.m. Initially the report was that a deck attached to a house was on fire. Subsequently it was determined that the fire actually started inside an exterior wall and spread to the home’s attic and also the deck. Bristol activated the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System, including shuttling in tender trucks to maintain sufficient water supply. All occupants of the home were able to get out safely. Two firefighters had lacerations that required emergency room treatment. The house has “major structural damage” with almost the entire roof burned off.
