The Friends of the Kenosha County Dog Parks will be hosting a “Scoop the Poop” Spring Clean- up Day at all three of the Kenosha County Dog Parks.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, April 6, at the three dog parks: the Harris Family Dog Park, 24100 75th St., Paddock Lake; the Warren Close Bark Park, 35610 89th St., Randall; and the Carlisle Family Dog Park, 4700 Highway JR, Somers.

There will be treats for humans and dogs both who show up to help. Clean-up supplies will be provided.

Mark Modory, co-chair of the Friends of the Kenosha County Dog Parks, said, “We think that users of the dog parks will help us with the clean-up to make the parks that much more enjoyable. It is, after all, their ‘doody.’”

Cathy Zamazal, co-chair of the Friends of the Dog Parks, said the event will be fun and will likely go quickly with all the potential helpers.

“We guarantee you won’t get too pooped,” Zamazal said.

For more information about the event, call Kenosha County Parks at 857-1869.

  1. Unbelievable says:

Wow – I cannot believe that people are “volunteering” to do this!!! This whole “doggy park” ‘crap’ was the County Exec’s. idea. It was also said that these “dog parks” wouldn’t be costing the tax payers a dime. Well, what’s going to happen in a few years when people get tired of “volunteering” to clean up someone elses crap? Then, the County’s gonna’ hire someone to do it, and it WILL cost us money!
