Rep. Samantha Kerkman (R-Randall) and Kenosha County Board Supervisor Erin Decker met with Girl Scouts recently at Wheatland Center School.

The girls, all fourth grade students at Wheatland Center School, are Girl Scout Juniors from Troop 7310 led by Troop Leader Jennifer Vozel.

Rep. Kerkman and Supervisor Decker discussed the three branches of government, and how our state is governed at the state and county levels with the girls. They also took time to answer the Scouts’ questions.

The meeting helps the scouts earn their “Inside Government” badge by learning more about governance in their state and community.

“I enjoyed getting to know the Girl Scouts at Wheatland Center and helping them to earn a new badge,” said Kerkman. “I’m glad I had the opportunity to share my experience with these bright, future leaders.”
