Lakeland Boys Big League headed to regional tournament

Lakeland Boys Big League baseball team will be headed to the regional tournament in Wyoming, Michigan representing Wisconsin after defeating Oak Creek Friday night 11-1 in the championship game of the Big League division. In earlier games, Lakeland won Wednesday 7-1 and lost Thursday 9-8 setting up the championship game Friday night. Tom Neave pitched a complete 6 inning game giving up only 1 run on 1 hit and collected 8 strikeouts. Travis Knudsvig lead the way with 2 hits including a home run. Mike Sornensen added 2 hits in the ball game.

The boys start the regional tournament on Tuesday, July 17 with an 11 a.m. game against the team from Illinois.
