Twin Lakes Libertyfest 2012 coverage

Twin Lakes Libertyfest is taking place this weekend at Lance Park in Twin Lakes. Last night the festival got under  way with music, food, a movie in the park and an evening Aquanuts show. Saturday’s activities got started with the annual grand parade. Here’s some video of the parade followed by some photos (click continue reading link):

At 3:39 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash in the 12200 block of Rock Lake Road, Trevor. Caller reports that someone is burning brush in a yard. Salem is under a burning ban due to dry conditions.

At about 10:30 p.m., units from Salem Fire/Rescue and Bristol Fire Department are responding to a report of a possible structure fire in the 24900 block of 81st Street in Salem. Dispatch reports smoke in house may be from fusebox. No flames seen. First deputy on scene says further response for deputies not needed.

Randall has ban on burning

Randall is the latest Western Kenosha County municipality to enact a burning ban until further notice. Town Chairman Bob Stoll, who also is a Randall Fire Department officer, announced the ban at Thursday night’s Town Board meeting. The ban is due to extremely dry conditions.
