Flight for Life called to Twin Lakes

At 8:38 a.m., Twin Lakes Fire Department members are setting up a landing zone for the Flight for Life medical transport helicopter. Twin Lakes Rescue earlier responded to a call for a hand injury at an industrial business in 36600 block of 89th St., Twin Lakes. After the initial call, more manpower was dispatched to the scene. Wind advisory in effect

Twin Lakes adopts tax levy with slight increase; defers garbage decision

The Twin Lakes Village Board Monday passed a tax levy for 2012 with a .85 percent increase over 2011. The 2011 levy was $3,268,723. The 2012 levy will be $3,296,634, a difference of $27,911.
