Units responding to fire station for injury

At 8:02 p.m., Randall Fire Department and Twin Lakes Rescue and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a call at Randall Fire Station No. 1, on 93rd Street, for a patient who is being classified as a battery victim and may have been involved in a car vs. pedestrian crash, according to scanner transmissions.

UPDATE — According to information from a Sheriff’s Department report, the above did relate to a car vs. pedestrian crash. A deputy’s investigation ultimately determined that the victim was walking in the roadway when struck by a driver, who initially left the scene, and reported the incident from their house. Neither party was cited.
