Twin Lakes PD responds to two crashes Saturday

The Twin Lakes Police Department responded to two traffic crashes Saturday.

  • The first was reported to the department at just after midnight Saturday morning. A resident of the area reported to the PD that a vehicle had run off the road and into the ditch at Indian Point Road and Waldeck Drive, Twin Lakes. The vehicle drove out of the ditch, but did knock down a stop sign. Police searched for but did not find the vehicle. The sign was replaced with a temporary stop sign.

  • The other incident occurred at about 2:52 p.m. in the 37300 block of Highway HM (Wilmot Road). Police received a report of a rollover crash. Twin Lakes and Randall fire departments and rescue units were dispatched along with police. One person was injured and transported to the hospital, according to police reports. Eventually deputies took over the call and investigation because it was in their jurisdiction, but village officers continued to assist with traffic control.
