Central falls to Port Washington in football

The Central Falcons let an early lead go to waste losing, to the Port Washington Pirates, 27-23 on Friday night. The Pirates scored 21 unanswered points, behind the determined running of QB Davenport.

The Falcons took an early 7-0 lead on a 5 yard run by Aaron Fincher and extra point by Tyler Schoenke. After giving up a TD pass from Davenport to Kennedy, the Falcons answered with a Damaschke to Castona 64 yard hook up for a TD, and the Falcons went for 2, and were successful on a pass from Damaschke to Fincher to go up 15-6. The Falcon scoring ended on a Jared Zirbel 7 yard scamper and another 2 point conversion to go up by the score of 23-6.

The Falcons could not hold the lead and lost on a late score resulting in the final 27-23
